Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife. Who was with child. So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. And she brought forth her first-born Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. Luke 2:4-7 NKJV

PRAYER FOCUS, December 21, 2025

How to Pray this Christmas…

1.     Pray giving thanks for your salvation.  May we never take for granted the greatest gift ever given.  Give thanks for the sacrifice of Jesus, give thanks for His forgiveness, and for His gift of eternal life.

2.     Pray for good family relationships.  Christmas gatherings sometimes bring out the best and the worst in people.  Pray for peace in your family.  Pray for a spirit of love and forgiveness to abound.  Pray for unity and for the joy of Christ to be experienced in your family.

3.     Pray for the peace of Israel.  During this season, as we gather to celebrate Christmas, many Jews will be celebrating Hanukah.  God came first to His own people, and as a result, we have been given the opportunity to know Christ.  Pray for the True Light of Christmas, Jesus Christ, to be known by those in Israel as the Messiah.  Pray for peace, the peace of the nation, and also the peace of Christ that passes all understanding.

4.     Pray for those who are struggling with depression.  Many struggle with loneliness, anxiety, and depression during this season.  Pray for comfort, for hope, and for deliverance.

5.     Pray for the persecuted church.  As we gather freely to worship, may we be reminded there are those around our world, who will gather with other believers to worship Christ this Christmas, under the cloud of persecution and threats.  Pray for their protection, but also for their boldness when needed.

6.     Pray for salvation of the lost.  We celebrate the birth of our Savior at Christmas.  Pray for lost family members, friends, and even those you don’t know, to come to understand the One who is the Reason for the Season, and for their openness of heart to receive Him as Savior and Lord.
