PRAYER FOCUS, September 27, 2026
Today closes the week of prayer and offering to support “Reach Texas,” our SBTC missions focus. Here are some prayer concerns.
Texas has a population of 30 million people. Of that number, it is estimated that 19 million are lost. Pray for God to raise up and send laborers into the field to proclaim the Good News of Jesus, and to plant churches to reach more people.
Pray for church planters and their families. It can be difficult to become established in a community, and the work often requires long hours, and is met with discouragement, and struggles in endeavoring to start a church. Pray for them to persevere as faithful servants, and for God’s provision for each need as it arises.
The Reach Texas Offering supports 90 Disaster Relief units across Texas. Over the past 5 years, nearly 20,000 meals have been served to those experiencing disasters and crises. Thousand have heard the Gospel through the efforts of these DR teams. Pray for more volunteers to respond to the need, and for God’s Spirit to be evident in their lives, their service, and their witness.
