    Shawn & Teri Cook

    Montenegro | Relational Ministry

The Cook family has been touching the lives of Montenegrins for years. Now they will be fully immersed in their calling to share the love of Jesus Christ and the Good News of his redemptive work with the people of Montenegro. Shawn comments: “A concern for us is to teach people about both the redemptive and disciple making work of Christ in an effort to comply with the intent of Christ’s sending His disciples into the world. We do not strive to make converts, but rather we want to evangelize the lost with the goal of teaching them to become not just disciples, but disciple makers. And in the most simple terms we want to demonstrate the love of Jesus with our words, with our actions, and with our lives.” Your prayers and financial support will be a great investment in helping them… “We do not promote programs, but we believe in developing meaningful relationships one person at a time.” Outreach Christian Fellowship is grateful to be a part of their lives and this ministry.

Todd and Amy Block are the founders and Directors of Village of Hope Guatemala.

They have been serving as a family in Guatemala since 2011 where they have ministered to countless children and adults.

Through the adoption of six of their ten children (3 from Guatemala, 2 from the US foster system, 1 from Ethiopia and 4 the regular way) God opened their eyes to the call of the orphan- giving them a passion to minister to those living with HIV/AIDS, children who were trafficked, adolescent mothers and others special needs.

The heart of their ministry has been to bring hope and healing to the least, the last and the lost. As a family they delight in sharing the love of the Father with others (especially those who come from broken families) pointing them to the one who created them in His image and letting them know they are not forgotten.

The Block Family invites you to partner with them financially and prayerfully and together we can watch brokenness be made new.

    Missionaries

Aaron and Hannah met in Tanzania in 2008 and moved to Uganda with WFA in 2016. Aaron is a jack of all trades and can fix just about anything. He is running the Uganda project and continues to successfully drill wells all around the region.

Hannah’s gifting is in her ability to connect and build deep relationships with the young ladies and women of where they live. They would choose to live in a hut near a bush over living in a nice city. One of their greatest joys is being an auntie and uncle to a host of children all over the world.

    https://www.firstbaptistdurango.org/church-news/missionaries/daniel-and-janna-ross-first-love-international-ukraine/

Daniel and Janna Ross serve with First Love International in Ukraine.  Since the start of Russia’s full scale invasion in 2022, they had been living in Czechia, but moved back to their apartment in Kyiv this February.   They are very happy to be back home!

Since returning 3 months ago, the Rosses have been working hard to get settled and established once again. So much has changed, and it’s felt like starting over rather than picking up where they left off. Daniel is partnering with a group of Ukrainians who are helping to reach out and rebuild in a small village that was occupied by Russian forces.  They are also trying to get a non-profit used English bookstore up and running, among other things. There are many challenges to living in Ukraine right now, and they ask that you keep praying, especially for the end of the war.

    Giving

The Cooperative Program (CP) is our primary giving model. Through CP, we can advance mission in Texas and around the world by partnering with the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC). As churches give, 45%
of undesignated receipts remains in Texas to mobilize our churches and 55% is forwarded to national and international SBC entities.

The in-state mission is further advanced by the annual Reach Texas Offering, your state missions offering, that funds missions and evangelism efforts. 100% of the offering is used for missions and evangelism in Texas.

Pastor Walt & Karen Troup arrived at A Place of Hope Africa Orphan and Child Rescue on November 2014, following God's calling on their lives to take the gospel to the nations.  Every day, they care for the children by giving them a safe place to stay, nourishing meals, and education at a private school, and most importantly, the children see and hear about the love of Jesus Christ.   The Troup's also oversee Glorious God Baptist Church in Opi and Cornerstone Baptist Church in Opi, which Walt pastors and was planted in 2016.  In addition, the Troups operate  Cornerstone Christian Academy Primary School and Cornerstone Christian College Secondary School in the village of Opi, providing a quality education for over 400 children in the village.

Before arriving in the mission field, Pastor Walt served as an Executive Pastor in Fort Worth, Texas. Karen led mission teams around the world to places like El Salvador, Guatemala, and India.

They have four grown children and three grandchildren of their own.  The Troup Family is sent by Temple Baptist Church in Fort Worth, TX, under the leadership of Pastor Doug Rife.
